HOLY CHRISTMAS, PHI / NJ NOW 0-3

Despite 18 points from former Temple star Dionte Christmas, the 76ers and Nets combination team fell to 0-3 Wednesday night at the Orlando Pro Summer League after losing to the host Orlando Magic 108-86. The 108 points the Magic put up is an OPSL scoring record.
When talking about the lopsided loss and the giving up the OPSL scoring record the 76ers Marreese Speights commented, “We’re getting good work in. All we can do is come out tomorrow and get a win.”
A win sure would help to ease the painful memory of this embarrassing debacle.

The Sixers/Nets team got off to a slow start in game two of the OPSL, and never really woke up, as they dropped Tuesday’s game to the Jazz, 83-68.
We’re recovering from a long weekend so it’s slow going here at the Philadunkia headquarters. So while we recover, we’re going to supply you with a nice link dump to catch you up on all the 76ers news that went down over the 4th of July holiday weekend.
As you probably know by now the 76ers are entering a “split squad” in conjunction with the New Jersey into the Orlando Pro Summer League. The Sixers portion of the team will depart for Orlando on Thursday, July 2 and will conduct a three-day mini-camp leading up to their first game on Monday, July 6.
