We’re not sure what was said and done at Thursday’s closed door practice over at PCOM on City Ave., but one thing is for certain the subject of respect – for themselves, the Sixers fans and most importantly the game itself – must have been discussed at length, because the team that took the floor last night against the Cavs was 100 times better then the garbage that wore the Sixers uniforms during Wednesday night’s pathetic loss to the Bobcats. In fact with the Sixers sitting at 23-42 and clearly out of the playoff picture, we would say that last night’s game was perfect.
Think about it for a second…
Last night against Lebron and the East leading Cavaliers, the Sixers played hard and pretty well overall thus the game was fun to watch; Andre Iguodala awoke from his season long funk (30, 7 & 5); the rookie point guard received plenty of tick (Holiday got 41 mins.); our “Philly Max” power forward had a solid night (24 & 9); the home team kept this game close (down 98-95 with 1:28 remaining), but in the end suffered a tough loss (100-95 final) and thus inched closer to a Top 5 lottery selection.
That’s all we are asking out of this Sixers squad for the remainder of 2009-10 season – go out there compete hard every night, but please lose.
