As well all know Andre Iguodala survived the last round of cuts for Team USA. However, Coach K still has three players to let go. SI.com’s Chris Mannix predicts that AI9 will NOT be one of the last players cut and he will make the 2010 version of Team USA, saying, ” The Sixers’ swingman was one of the standouts at camp last week, drawing praise from Coach K and Colangelo for his energy and defense. Iguodala can probably play three positions — shooting guard, small forward and power forward — in Turkey, a valuable asset on a team placing a premium on versatility.”

They have added a new coach, a host of new additions to the roster and Evan Turner, the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft, but what NBA team would be complete without the dance team. So, the Sixers recently announced their dance team for 2010-11. You can check out the final auditions video here.
The Aug. 9 issue of ESPN The Magazine has a very solid interview with new Sixer Spencer Hawes on what motivated him to get to the NBA. Interesting that editorial control of the issue was given over to Ron Artest who it turns out is tight with Hawes from their days in Sacto.
Via Twitter we learn that Evan Turner thinks that he will win an NBA title some day.
CSNPhilly.com’s Dei Lynam has an interview with Andre Iguodala from Team USA tryouts.
ESPN.com’s Chad Ford ranks the best available free agents. A couple of these guys (Watson and Amundson) could help the Sixers.
Finally, the 76ers annual “Beach Bash” takes place this weekend at Jack’s Place in Avalon, NJ. We’ll have the whole event covered for you and we’re told Evan Turner will be made available to the media, so stay tuned for an interview with the #2 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
