82875250JG002_Sixers_PCWith two games against Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns, plus a trip to Mexico where Jrue Holiday got some much needed burn — court time, not sun burn — , the 76ers had a very busy weekend.

Now, coming off the hectic three day stretch it seems that they have a big preseason game tonight against the Washington Wizards down at the Wachovia Center.  Philadunkia hopes somebody lets the Sixers in on that little secret.  To catch you up on all things Sixers, here’s a link dump for your Tuesday Phillies hang over.

The Sixers up and down preseason continued over the weekend with a loss against PHX on Friday night and then a W on Sunday against PHX down in Mexico.  Dei Lynam breaks down both games to show us just what a roller coaster ride the preseason has been for the Sixers.  Of especially high interest is the fact that Jrue Holiday is finally getting some minutes.

The Washington Post is making a surprisingly big deal of tonight’s Wizards at 76ers preseason game.  We know it’s the first time Sixers Head Coach Eddie Jordan will face his former team, but it’s just a preseason game.  Anyways, the WAPO gets Eddie Jordan to open up to about his time as the Head Coach of the Wizards .  According to the WAPO, Jordan believes he had “more than moderate success” in leading the Wizards through their most successful run in the past three decades — four postseason appearances and one playoff series win.

Mixed emotions on Jordan from his former Wizards players.  Some loved him, others were pretty harsh.

brandinaction09HoopsTV lists Elton Brand and Louis Williams among the ten players who really have something to prove this season .

Ken Berger of CBSsports.com predicts the Sixers will finish third in the Atlantic in 2009-10.  Berger has the Raptors finishing second.

Dime magazine predicts that Marreese Speights will be on of the biggest surprises of the year.

From Twitter we learn that Rodney Carney laced ‘em for shootaround today and will take the court vs. the Nets on Friday.

Also via Twitter just like the rest of us, Thaddeus Young thought the movie “Paranormal Activity” was “scary as hell” .

The Cavaliers cut Rob Kurz who balled on the Sixers summer league team down in Orlando.
