With two games against Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns, plus a trip to Mexico where Jrue Holiday got some much needed burn — court time, not sun burn — , the 76ers had a very busy weekend.

The Sixers up and down preseason continued over the weekend with a loss against PHX on Friday night and then a W on Sunday against PHX down in Mexico. The Washington Post is making a surprisingly big deal of tonight’s Wizards at 76ers preseason game. We know it’s the first time Sixers Head Coach Eddie Jordan will face his former team, but it’s just a preseason game. Anyways, the WAPO gets Eddie Jordan to open up to about his time as the Head Coach of the Wizards . According to the WAPO, Jordan believes he had “more than moderate success” in leading the Wizards through their most successful run in the past three decades — four postseason appearances and one playoff series win.
Mixed emotions on Jordan from his former Wizards players. Some loved him, others were pretty harsh.
Ken Berger of CBSsports.com predicts the Sixers will finish third in the Atlantic in 2009-10. Berger has the Raptors finishing second.
Dime magazine predicts that Marreese Speights will be on of the biggest surprises of the year.
